Official – Pardew And Crew Bank Bonuses Tonight

A late Crystal Palace rally gave Alan Pardew a little bit of a sweat on, but he can now celebrate the top ten bonus that he and his players will get, plus an unspecified number of backroom staff.

‘Get In There My Son’

Only a win by Palace against Liverpool could have left them with a chance to catch Newcastle, but even an unbelievable three goal fightback in the last 11 minutes only brought them one point in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

So the top ten bonus can now be counted with only Stoke able to overtake United, meaning tenth is the very lowest position that Newcastle can fall too.

Exactly what is achieved by rewarding players and others for finishing ninth or tenth rather than eleventh is questionable, though it clearly fits in with Mike Ashley’s thinking.

Winning something, or at the every least European qualification, are surely the only markers that should surely be rewarded.

Avoiding relegation? Maybe not.
