2014/15 Newcastle Away Strip Launched To Minimal Interest – Photo Special
Newcastle United have today launched their new 2014/15 away strip.
A major indication of the negativity surrounding the football club and the fans’ lack of connection with those running the club, means that there has been absolutely none of the usual speculation beforehand with possible designs floating around the internet and social media.
As away kits go it doesn’t look too bad, although the sponsor logo is a real spoiler for me on two levels – both W**** as a company and from an aesthetic point of view it totally ruins the overall impact of the design.
This is all secondary of course and sales of this latest design will surely be even worse than the dismal figures for the current/last designs, with so few people wearing the current strips and never have I seen so many people at St.James’ Park as I have in the last 12 months, wearing shirts from previous seasons, refusing to buy the club merchandise.
The days of midnight launches and queues around St.James’ Park seem like a lifetime ago.
Oh well, at least it looks like we must stand a decent chance of keeping hold of Paul Dummett!
