SISSOKO : “UN RÊVE DE GOSSE”
SISSOKO : “A KID’S DREAM”
You had a busy season with Newcastle. In which physical and psychological state are you?
“It was a big season for Newcastle. Last month I had a little hamstring injury but it allowed me to rest. I came back well and I finished the season well. I feel good physically. We had a week’s break and since then we have worked well and gaining momentum to be ready for the day.”
Yohan Cabaye was your teammate in Newcastle before his departure last winter to Paris. What are his qualities in your eyes and what can he brings to les Bleus?
“He was at the heart of our game, he was the link between defence and attack. His departure was a big loss and we felt it straight away. We tried to do without him but it was difficult. However we still managed to finish in the Top 10, which was the objective of the club. We hope that he will bring all his talent to the World Cup. “
