Alan Pardew Scared To Leave Dugout Due To Abuse So Carver Forced Out Front

Today was strange in many ways but maybe the strangest of all, was the sight of Alan Pardew scared to leave the dugout during the 90 minutes of football.

I must admit I was puzzled as to why there were resounding boos every ten minutes or so, but the third or fourth time it happened I eventually cottoned on.

Every time Pardew poked his head out of the dugout he was roundly booed.

The Newcastle manager had begged the fans to support the players and of course they did, despite a largely rubbish first half.

However, with Pardew himself it was striking, the boos ringing around the stadium every time he dared to show his face.

The chants against both Ashley and Pardew were a feature throughout the game, but there is a difference when you are a multi-billionaire and own the club.

When you are manager and the vast majority of supporters think you are a joke – is there any way back for Alan Pardew?
