What Would Alan Pardew Do With £100m?
What would Alan Pardew do with £100m?
Just before you answer that, have a look at this roll of honour from the Newcastle United manager.
*Lost six Prem games in a row for the first time ever.
*Lost the last six games with an aggregate score of 17-1.
*Suffered the worst run of form since 1987, back in the days of Willie McFaul.
*Failed to score in 39% of home games.
*Failed to score in 42.5% of all games.
*Failed to score in 77% of games without borrowed striker Loic Remy.
*Lost seven of the last 13 games by three goals or more.
*On the brink of equalling the record amount of Prem defeats in one season (19 last season)
*Pardew’s overall winning record at Newcastle has now slumped to 37.5% – worse than previous sacked Toon bosses like Kenny Dalglish, Glenn Roeder, Bobby Robson and Graeme Souness.
*Pardew has fallen out with quality players such as Sylvain Marveaux and Hatem Ben Arfa this season.
He has a squad full of talent yet complains he needs funds to bring in players.
Pardew couldn’t build a team with £100m. Best believe that.
