Shock Papiss Cisse Injury Update
A shock Papiss Cisse injury update this morning with news that the striker will miss the rest of the season and could even be struggling for the start of next season.
It is reported that Newcastle United have discovered that the Senegalese forward has broken his kneecap, following a scan on Sunday.
At the time on Saturday it looked something and nothing when the United striker started limping and eventually came off the pitch but the Chronicle are saying that the news is far worse than the initial diagnosis.
With United in disarray up front and no chance of Loic Remy still being here next season, both Ashley and Pardew must have been praying that Papiss Cisse would suddenly rediscover his scoring touch in front of goal.
Another possibility was the club grabbing whatever cash they could for Cisse in the summer to help bring in a brand new forward line but that would appear all but impossible if the striker won’t be back on the pitch until the pre-season friendlies at the very earliest.
