Pardew Wins ‘Villain Of The Year’ Award
Two years after picking up his manager of the season awards, Alan Pardew has now picked up the slightly less glamorous ‘Villain of the Year’.
The person dishing out this award was our old friend Robbie Savage, writing for the BBC Sport website.
As well as handing out Player of the Year (Suarez), Best Buy (Bony), Worst Buy (Fellaini) and Best Manager (Brendan Rodgers), Savage had this to say about how he’d came to his decision in the Villain category.
‘No doubt whatsoever in my mind, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew. As a manager you can’t go around headbutting opposition players – it was a scandalous act.
He got punished with a 7 game ban, although I do not think it was enough. His team are underperforming so I’m going for him.
Did you know? Newcastle have scored just 10 Premier League goals in 2014, fewer than any other side.’
