Pardew Suspects ‘More Than Half The Fans Want Me Out’
It is one thing for everybody to believe it, but for Alan Pardew to actually say that most fans want him out, is a big leap from fans talking in pubs and on social media.
The Newcastle manager ‘suspects’ more than half the fans want him out and I don’t think you’ll have too many people arguing against that ‘suspicion’.
In fact thousands of fans responded to our poll where we asked whether the current Newcastle manager was part of the problem, or the solution, [intlink id=”41785″ type=”post”]a staggering 94%+ thought Pardew was part of the problem[/intlink], no matter who owned the club.
In the lead up to today’s match, Alan Pardew had this to say;
“I would suspect more than half the fans inside St.James’ Park on Saturday (v Swansea) would want me out.
“If the stick’s coming my way I accept that but hopefully it’s something which doesn’t affect the players.
“I want them to have as little pressure as possible but there’s a lot of pressure on them to win the game.
“It’s frustrating for me because you want to be well received and I want to have the respect of these people – it hurts when you don’t get it.
“I am not going to hide from it but it does not hurt me in as much as I want to walk away or go into my shell.
“It just makes me more determined to try and get their opinions to change…and opinions do change.”
