Newcastle United – Alan Pardew Is Not THE Problem

Can we please end the issue over whether Alan Pardew is THE problem

Quite patently he is not alone in this – but he has no self respect or backbone.

THE problem is Mike Ashley and the regime / manner in which he is managing the football club.

Alan Pardew, with a decent squad of senior players, took Newcastle to 5th place only two seasons ago. He was blessed with no injuries of a catastrophic nature and a cohesiveness within the players, which was born by an accumulation of players as opposed to selling them.

If we look at the current squad – or imagine (here we go again) being part of it – just how would you feel? Krul, Sandton, Debuchy, Colo, HBA and Remy will all likely want to leave as they have seen players go and nothing come in at all for the last 2 seasons.

In other areas, Sissoko, Anita, Cisse are off the pace and don’t even get me started on the diatribe of dirge that is Shola, Gosling, de Jong, Obertan, Taylor and half a dozen others that were supposed to grow from a youth squad into our ‘one or two purples per area nonsense’.

There is no spirit in the team as it has been ripped out by Ashley – it is plain and simple. There is the issue of professional pride of course, which should stand for something, but sadly in this day and age, money talks, and the guys are loaded, see nothing going on around them, have been told that we don’t go for cups anymore, we appear not to be buying, only selling – so how would you feel? They don’t have what we have – the desire for all our lives to pull on a black and white shirt and run out of that tunnel into that roar (or the roar that was…… I take a good book now also).

A handful of injuries means hauling up AFC Bournemouth targets into the team and we fall apart – make no mistake this is next season’s team in front of us.

Irrespective of ability, remove Cisse, Remy, Ameobi & de Jong and we have no strikers, and need 40 goals from somewhere.

Ba, Carroll, Cabaye not replaced and we are woefully short anyway – we have serious problems; and could the great Jose Mourinho do anything with the crock at our current disposal ? I think no, but he WOULD call out the shocking management of the club, which is why you will never get a manager @St James that will do that.

Don’t get me wrong, as per above, the way that Alan Pardew has conducted himself, protecting and coveting Ashley etc is a disgrace and he has no spine or self respect – but he has a track record, if given some players.

Ashley will NEVER put a manager in who will give him back chat, so we are in a rut until he goes. That may be when Rangers get into the champions league or sooner – he may decide to take a couple of seasons TV money, the cash for the lease on land in Strawberry Place etc and then go, with a profit in his hand.

Pardew needs to speak out and give his true opinion, and people would back him and appreciate the hell he manages under, but until then, and Ashley leaves, we are cattle trucked.
