Newcastle Player In World Cup Dilemma

While the majority of the Newcastle squad are crawling towards the end of the season to the backdrop of an atmosphere of barely concealed contempt, for Curtis Good he faces the next month in anticipation.

Now back at loan club Dundee United after recovering from injury, the Aussie defender has the Scottish Cup Final to look forward to on May 17th against St.Johnstone.

However, before then the manager of the Australian national team, Ange Postecoglou will be announcing his pre-World Cup squad who will be gathering for a training camp starting May 16th.

After an impressive showing in Australia’s last warm up match for Brazil, against Ecuador, Good has given himself every chance of being on the plane to this summer’s World Cup.

Dundee United’s assistant manager, Simon Donnelly, has now confirmed that they are going to approach the Australian camp to ask for special dispensation, if the Newcastle defender’s selected, to allow Good to be involved in the Scottish Cup Final, before belatedly joining the rest of the Aussie squad.
