Newcastle Fans Vote For Youth and Flair In Team Today – Will Pardew Agree?

We asked you to pick your Newcastle v Stoke starting 11 and to a backdrop of ever decreasing expectations, collectively the fans have gone for attack being the best form of defence.

The reality of course is that the team more or less picks itself, with the odd exception.

No surprise to see Tiote topping the figures as he is the one person who has at times single-handedly attempted to stop the swamping of our midfield.

The big questions see fans once again see no other option than playing Ben Arfa from the start to try and give us some hope, when the alternatives are Gosling, De Jong and Shola is there honestly any choice at all?

While Alan Pardew claims he is trying to protect Adam Armstrong, despite having previously said he’d give youth a chance in the final matches, the fans have no such concerns.

Preferring to see the young local lad be given his head against the misery of having to watch Shola or De Jong.

Interesting to see Coloccini’s rating dropping off on the back of some poor recent displays.

The story must be though just how threadbare our squad is with only two missing (Sissoko, Debuchy) plus on loan Remy.

It surely has to be a really bad joke when the likes of MD Lee Charnley and Pardew try to argue we just need one or two players this summer!!

The first eleven/team chosen by the fans is in bold below with the other ratings below.
