Manchester City Tiote Interest Reported

There has now been Manchester City Tiote interest reported as the season draws to a close.

One of the few players that is playing the season out right until the end, it is little wonder that Cheick Tiote is once again on the rise as a subject of interest from other clubs.

The Guardian are reporting that Newcastle United’s Ivory Coast midfielder is seen as a player than can help sort out some of the deficiencies that have seen City’s season fade badly, including a feeble home draw this week against Sunderland.

While Cheick has repeatedly stated how he loves at Newcastle, he will turn 28 this summer and if there is interest from an ambitious club then it must surely be hard to see him sticking around as our club continues to implode.

Ironically, in the almost total absence of any other flair or creativity in the Newcastle team, in recent times Tiote has been trying all sorts of new things with a little bit of success, arguably he’s had more shots and dribbles in the last last four weeks than the previous near four years at St.James’ Park.

The truth though is that where he really comes into his own is when acts as a protector, allowing the skilful/creative players do their stuff while he gives them the insurance behind.

Newcastle’s cupboard is bare in that respect, while a club like City have it in abundance.

It will/would be a sad day when/if he leaves but he is one player who could leave with his head held high.
