Lee Clark – Geordies Don’t Run (Walk)
While the ‘Geordie Nation’ suffers collectively, Lee Clark has a massive job on his hands some 200 miles away.
Birmingham City has been a basket case of a club in recent times and Clarkie is trying to keep them out of League 1.
Currently in the relegation zone, Birmingham face Wigan tonight in a crucial fixture and with a 12 month rolling contract, Lee Clark was asked if he intended to throw in the towel if the worst happened this season;
“No, never. I am from the East End Newcastle, you don’t walk away from anything.
“You sit down and talk to people.
“Hopefully I will be sitting down with the club (at the end of the season) with us a Championship club.
“This is a fantastic football club that can get back to where it should be.
“Then have those Villa/Birmingham derbies in the Premier League, I have heard so much about them, playing against the big boys year in, year out.”
Good luck to Lee in his own personal managerial struggle.
