Exciting Race For 9th Heads For Sellout At Stoke v Newcastle

The exciting race for 9th gathers pace with Newcastle visiting the Potteries on Saturday for a vital clash.

Having seen Southampton demolish United with a four goal humiliation to seemingly settle who will finish 8th best, Newcastle play Stoke City this weekend in what could be a clincher for us to hold onto 9th.

Let the race for 9th begin

Stoke are currently six points behind Newcastle but already have a better goal difference by two, a home win therefore would put them only three points behind and with an even more superior goal difference.

Incredibly, despite the rubbish Newcastle fans have been forced to endure, all 2900 away tickets for the fixture were quickly snapped up.

What is more, it looks like Saturday’s match has also got Stoke fans excited by this race for 9th, as the club have announced they are heading for a sellout and their biggest crowd of the season.

Only 700 tickets are left as of Tuesday morning and close to the capacity of 27,743 could be reached, which would beat this season’s best of 27,180 v Liverpool at the Britannia Stadium.

Good to see watching Newcastle is still such an attractive proposition…
