Alan Pardew ‘It Seems A Long Time Since We Recorded Our Last Victory…’ (Tell Us About It!!)

In Alan Pardew’s programme notes for today’s match, he stated ‘It seems a long time since we recorded our last victory’ and ninety minutes later it seems an awful lot longer after watching that rubbish.

As always accentuating the ‘positives’, Pardew further annoyed fans by referring to Man U as ‘United’ (that is us Alan!) and made feeble claims about our closeness to them, feeble on two counts as they are having what they regard as their worst possible nightmare season, while secondly we are 11 points behind them plus they have two games in hand.

‘Yes Mike,I’ve wrote down everything wot you told me’

According to Alan Pardew though they ‘are not too far ahead’.

“It seems a long time since we recorded our last victory against Crystal Palace and the games since then have been painful to watch in many ways, but my hope is I will have a stronger pool of players to select from as we look to turn a corner and end this season on a high.

“Our last match here against Manchester United was very tight until they scored (4 goals???) the opening goal.

“In the end United ran out comfortable winners and it is always tough to lose a game at home, especially against rivals we had beaten at Old Trafford earlier this season and who are not too far (11 points and two games in hand…) ahead of us in the Premier League standings.”
