Alan Pardew ‘We Are Far From Finished In The League’

Newcastle manager added to his growing collection of pointless/bizarre quotes today, when he said that United ‘are far from finished in the league’.

The United boss going on to say that if his players can get a win or score the first goal at Stoke ‘it will give us a boost to kick on’.

I think we can safely say that it is getting to desperation time with talk like that.

[intlink id=”41590″ type=”post”]This morning I wrote[/intlink] that despite Alan Pardew talking this week about the possibility of Loic Remy playing on Saturday, I believed that there was next to no chance of this happening – the manager apparently thinking that talking positively like this early in the week would produce some kind of feelgood factor amongst fans. I suggested far more chance of Pardew keeping Remy for the next home match with the Newcastle manager having previously described the last two home matches of the season as ‘massive’.

Alan Pardew today;

“We are far from finished in the league and if we can get a win or score the first goal it will give us a boost to kick on.

“You need to stand tall, especially at a club like Newcastle United; the players need to be resilient and hopefully they will show that at Stoke.

“Loic Remy will not make this game but he’s training and we hope that he will be available next week, Tim Krul has a chance of playing though.”

Hopefully Tim Krul will make it but as for players standing tall and being resilient, we live in hope…
