Alan Pardew Believes Touchline Presence Can ‘Certainly Raise The Level Of Players’
Alan Pardew has claimed that if he’d had a touchline presence against both Swansea and Stoke then he could have made the difference.
The Newcastle boss saying he’ll be pleased to be back there against Arsenal and not a few fans will wonder if he has just set himself up for a tortuous night at The Emirates;
“It (Swansea result) was as disappointing as it comes really.
“We had a couple of injuries early in the game which changed our game plan a little bit, which threw us.
“The stadium couldn’t have helped us more, they was as positive as they could be with the recent results.
“I think it is important the manager is on the sidelines, his presence can certainly raise the level of players with a word or two.
“I think maybe could have influenced a little bit from there, particularly in a tight game like this (Swansea) and at Stoke.
“I’ll be pleased to be back there against Arsenal but we have a lot of work to do before then.”
