Below you will find the sad tale of a racist fan who embarrasses everybody in the north east.
Roy Kaviani is one of our regular contributors and here he relates his story of what happened last weekend (Warning – offensive language/behaviour below).
Sad thing is that there are still people such as this out there and we acknowledge that this is still a problem for all clubs, including Newcastle, even if it is hopefully on the decrease.
The great work done by Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) and Kick It Out is moving things forward but when you see what pond life like this person is capable of, then you know just how big a job they are tackling.
This is Roy’s story;
My little story with a Mackem!
Some football banter gone wrong!
Here is a little incident that happened to me on Saturday.
There was a debate on twitter about the origin of Howay The Lads/ Ha’way The Lads between one of my mates and a Mackem – where did it originate from; Tyneside or Wearside? Newcastle or Sunderland?
Me being me, I decided to jump in and put a quick cheeky answer only to get a shocking reply from the Mackem (see the photo) who was reported and quickly deleted his Twitter account.
Honestly, it doesn’t bother me at all, if someone is Evil, Racist or Pure Ignorant then it is his problem not mine.
I just want to lead a normal life with my family and support my team and wind up some Mackems along the way, it’s all fun and part of the game.
The funny thing is that I am not even Black! I’m a Persian Geordie.
Anyway, hopefully Northumbria police got hold of him. People like that need to be taught a lesson. If not then Saturday’s result will do just fine anyway.
