Pardew Bends To Fan Pressure And Starts With Hatem Ben Arfa and Two Other Changes

Alan Pardew bends to fans pressure and makes two vital changes to Newcastle eleven to face Southampton, both Hatem Ben Arfa and Massadio Haidara starting.

In a poll we ran in advance of the trip to the south coast, a massive 94% of fans said they thought Hatem Ben Arfa should start against the Saints, while Massadio Haidara also easily outpointed Paul Dummett at left-back.

No doubt it will be our fault then if we still lose!

The one other change sees Rob Elliot replacing the injured Tim Krul in goal.

Starting eleven;

Elliot, Mapou, Wiiliamson, Coloccini, Haidara, Anita, Tiote, Sissoko, Ben Arfa, Gouffran, Cisse

The club are reporting the starting eleven as a 4-2-3-1 formation, with no doubt Tiote and Anita the holding pair but I wonder if Hatem Ben Arfa will be given a central or wide right role in the three behind Papiss Cisse?

While on the bench Newcastle have;

Alnwick, Santon, Dummett, Steven Taylor, Gosling, Shola, De Jong

Betting – NUFC Win 9/2 – Ben Arfa Score First Goal 14/1 – NUFC Win 2-0 33/1
