Papiss Cisse Reveals Secret Of His Palace Winner
Papiss Cisse has revealed the ‘secret’ behind his Palace winner but if you’re expecting some magic answer then you’ll be disappointed.
The Senegal striker believes that his attitude to training has eventually paid dividends, with the forward claiming that that if he kept on doing his job in the lead up days then eventually he would get back on the goals trail.
While Cisse undoubtedly has weaknesses to his game, one thing you can’t accuse him of is giving up, evidenced by the Palace winner but also the number of crucial late winners he scored last season which effectively saved us from relegation.
Here is what Papiss Cisse had to say post-match;
“I feel that the game was a little bit hard but I need to score and in the second half I have two chances.
“Then the Mapou ball, it’s a goal definitely, but I miss!
“In my head though I say ‘keep going, keep going’, then in comes in the last minute and I score.
“I just say thank you to Hatem.
“I have played for nine years and have a little bit of experience.
“I say ‘Go to training and work hard, then if you start the game or only have five or ten minutes, you do your job and keep going. Then maybe you have one day, this day, when you start to score.’
