Newcastle Need To Expand The French Connection – Starting At The Top

Now I have kept really quiet, but I’m telling you, Pardew continues to go down in my estimations.

He had to go to Southampton and get something…. and I tell you honestly he got NOTHING!!!!

Like all of you, I spend my days looking for any news Newcastle United based. A lot of it now is based around the close season, how we are going to rebuild / play more entertaining football next season because (according to Pardew) that’s what Ashley wants!!!

Mapou – reunite with Girard?

Hang on a second, isn’t that what we have been screaming out for since Pardew signed his 8 year deal?

Entertainment is what we were guaranteed under King Kev and Sir Bobby. Watching the game on Saturday and a few before that, the entertainment factor is gone. How any of those players apart from Elliot have the guts to go and collect their pay packet this week AMAZES me, After nearly 30 years supporting this football club, I assure you amazing me is a pretty hard thing to do when it comes to NUFC.

Back to the point now, this summer according to Pardew is one of rebuilding, wiping out all the deadwood and the non-triers for some entertaining, proud to wear the shirt lads. I don’t think it should start and end with the players, yes some of them have been woeful to say the least but I think any rebuilding should be done under a new manager. I honestly think we should be aiming at a French manager if we keep going for French players, Rene Girard (currently at Lille) is the top of my list.

I think with him as manager we will get fresh ideas and he would be more than happy to keep pulling small fee Frenchmen out of Ligue 1 and 2 (keeping Ashley happy).

He might even know a few that Carr has failed to spot.

If he can win a league with Yanga-Mbiwa as his captain, imagine what he could do with Ben Arfa, Sissoko, Debuchy, Gouffran and possibly Cabella, Grenier and Gomis.
