As Manchester United and David Moyes’ season goes from bad to worse at first team level, the Newcastle kids dealt a further blow to Moyes at a slightly lower level.

Moyes has seen his first team humiliated at home by both Liverpool and Manchester City in recent weeks and at Whitley Park on Wednesday night, his reserve team fell to a Newcastle team who had previously only picked up four wins and were second bottom.

david moyesThe night was a triumph in particularly for two players.

The one making the headlines will be schoolboy keeper Paul Woolston, who at only 15 made his debut against the powerful visitors.

Those in front of him did really well but the young keeper did everything asked of him and well deserved his clean sheet.

Imagine being him going into school today…!

At the other end of the pitch it was United defender Remie Streete who won the three points, putting the ball into the Mancs’ net a few minutes into the second half.

Streete will be pleased to be making the right kind of headlines again after being at the centre of the storm that saw Reserve team manager Willie Donachie lose his job, following claims that he had struck the young defender.
