Good News On Newcastle Striker Front Ahead Of Saturday
Some good news on the Newcastle striker front ahead of Crystal Palace on Saturday but sadly it doesn’t involve Loic Remy making a miraculous recovery.
Instead, Palace manager Tony Pulis has just revealed that he will be missing his two top goalscorers, Chamakh and Gayle on Saturday, meaning the biggest goal threat to United will be midfielder Jason Puncheon who has the princely sum of three goals so far this campaign.
“Gayle got injured in training on Tuesday so he is having a scan today (Thursday) to see the extent of it.
“It is his ankle and I won’t know how bad it is until the scan has been done.
“Chamakh will not be fit for Saturday and it is a massive blow, because he plays that position so well – it is a miss but we just have to get on with it.”
In Loic Remy’s absence things are little better at United with Yoan Gouffran next top scorer with six Premier League goals so far, if anything happened to him we’d be down to Sissoko and Ben Arfa on three each.
Sunderland played out a really boring goalless draw with Palace last weekend and at the moment, our match bears all the hallmarks of a similar classic!
