Fulham 1 Newcastle 0 – Mike Ashley Has To Change Course From The Rocks He’s Steering Towards

If anybody was in any doubt about the weakness of the Newcastle squad (team?) then Craven Cottage provided the final nail in the coffin today.

Against the bottom team in the Premier League, Newcastle were embarrassingly short of ideas and finishing finesse.

With Cabaye now sitting on the bench in France, the midfield just passed it sideways, or passed the buck might be a better description.

Without a single player who can take on an opponent, with the possible exception of Sissoko and he’s no winger, United are just far too predictable.

Loic Remy single-handedly makes us look a better team because he turns average situations into chances and goals.

Our attacking ‘threat’ today was provided by Cisse (one league goal via penalty spot all season), De Jong (no goals all season) and substitute Shola (no league goal since December 2012).

It might have taken a howler from Tim Krul to give Fulham the points but nobody who was there today can claim the home team didn’t deserve it.

So the worst team in the division bosses the game and creates far much chances, that should surely tell you what awaits us unless Captain Mike Ashley changes course from the rocks he is steering us towards.

Full match report to follow.
