Cisse Goal – Ben Arfa Cross Or Shot? Watch and Decide Here

Having endured a terrible match against Crystal Palace, it is always canny when something like the Cisse goal pops up to just about make it all worthwhile.

The old argument about people leaving before the end as always rings true, just like the cinema – why would you leave before you know what happens at the end of the film?

So just like Villa when Remy popped up in the second minute of injury time, on this occasion Papiss Cisse went one better with a clincher in the third minute of injury time against Palace.

I sit in the Leazes End ( goal scored in front of the Gallowgate so opposite end of the pitch) and coming out of the ground I was convinced that Hatem Ben Arfa had cut inside and unleashed a typical left footer, which on this occasion was flying wide until Cisse turned it into a goalscoring chance.

It was only this morning (couldn’t face sitting through MOTD to watch ten seconds of our match) that having viewed the footage, I’m beginning to think I might have been a little wrong.

Watch the footage below and is this indeed a wayward Ben Arfa shot or a sublime piece of skill to make the goal?
