Cabaye ‘I Absolutely Don’t Regret My Decision’
Yohan Cabaye has insisted that he made the right move when he traveled from Newcastle to Paris, despite continuing to be used as only a bit player.
The ex-Newcastle playmaker stated ‘I absolutely don’t regret my decision’ when interviewed by RTL over in France.
PSG beat Bastia 3-0 away from home at the weekend and Cabaye got the last 25 minutes as a replacement for Verratti, the game already sealed with the club from the capital two up at the time.
“I have gone from a situation at Newcastle where I was an automatic starter, to one where I don’t know when I will next play.
“However, I absolutely don’t regret my decision, I have come here to win and climb the hierarchy.”
Cabaye could get only his second start for PSG this midweek, Bayer Leverkusen are the opposition with the French club holding a four goal lead from the first leg of their Champions League tie.
Blanc could use the occasion to rest some first choice players and Cabaye possibly get ninety minutes, and maybe another goal, to add to the first one of his PSG career that was scored in Germany during that first leg.
