Aussies Race Into Three Goal Lead Before Late Collapse After Curtis Good Injury

As expected the Newcastle defender made his debut for Australia but a Curtis Good injury meant that he missed the dramatic finale to the match.

Good, currently on loan at Dundee United, impressed as the Aussies raced into a three goal lead at half-time, not bad going against Ecuador (24th) ranked 29 places above Australia (53rd) in the latest World ratings.

However, in a classic game of two halves, Ecuador came back into it with two goals before Curtis Good was forced off by injury in the 68th minute.

Worse was to follow though as Ecuador then equalised and Millwall’s New Den saw a dramatic finale with an injury time winner to leave  a final scoreline of Australia 3 Ecuador 4.

Hopefully Curtis Good has done enough to secure his place on the plane for Brazil, with Australia surely looking to include some up and coming young players for their World Cup adventure and Good having done himself no harm with his performance on Wednesday night.
