Alan Pardew ‘Most Of Our Play Was Pretty Good Against Fulham’
You can never accuse Alan Pardew of failing to find positives where others fail.
The Fulham match was a depressing experience for all who saw it, especially those who spent time and money traveling to Craven Cottage.
They watched a team totally lacking in ideas and any kind of shooting ability, with only two real chances all game – one a half chance where Cisse was unlucky but the fact our best opportunity came via a misdirected pass from a Fulham player sums up the day.
However, Alan Pardew reckons ‘most of our play was pretty good against Fulham’ – defenders and midfielders in our own half passing the ball between them does not equal ‘pretty good’!
The Newcastle manager;
“We need to come up with more imagination than we showed against Fulham and some more cutting edge to our play.
“Most of our play was pretty good against Fulham but the last third unfortunately wasn’t good enough.
“The most important thing for us is creating more chances, no matter what Palace do.
“That has been our main focus this week and having a bit more movement in our play.”
