When asked today what he thought about the Newcastle Under 18s match against Chelsea in midweek, Alan Pardew took the opportunity to reveal that new contracts are due to be agreed in the next couple of weeks.
The Newcastle manager saying that the club will be ‘looking to secure their futures’ when referring to some of the players who took part in the game.
“Well we hope to announce another bit of good news out of that situation in the next couple of weeks, because some of those players have done very well for us, and we’ll be looking to secure their futures.
“It was a fantastic game and anybody who was there would have seen that we gave a very very good account of ourselves, against a top top youth team.”
Top of my list and many others is seventeen year old local lad Adam Armstrong, with skilful winger eighteen year old Rolando Aarons from Kingston Upon Thames, not far behind.
