Something good coming out of United with young Newcastle talent showing the way!

The under 18s have beaten Derby County 1-0 (Sunday) to take the Newcastle kids into the FA Youth Cup quarter finals.

Adam Armstrong England style

Adam Armstrong scored yet another glorious goal and the man(boy) who scored, is the man(boy) who should surely be given pitch time from now on until the end of the season.

We are short on strikers so why not give him a shot? We all bleat on about playing the young uns so why won’t Pardew give the kid a chance?

Look at Everton, a while back I grant you , they played a young kid called Rooney (16 years old) and look where he is now – £300,000 per week and playing for Man U. They aren’t the only ones though as other clubs give talented young players their chance at a similarly young age.

How many young kids have seen things like this and are chomping at the bit to prove that, given the chance, would grab it by the scrawny neck and throttle it?

It seems to me that The Toon will never give the kids a good chance to prove themselves. Putting them in ‘the squad’ is not really going to give them a lot of pitch time experience.

Putting them in a team in the FA cup is not going to do them any good (once a year and beaten).

With the season all but lost and nothing to play for, I for one would relish watching these kids give what they have for the cause. I would love for this kid to be given a chance by Pardew (not just one game), just to see if he has the nous to go on to be another Rooney.

The Toon would probably sell him anyway if he made it but in the meantime…

Give Adam Armstrong a chance Mr Pardew, for the sake of the Toon and the sake of the young uns coming through.
