Sunderland face not one but two Ameobis at St.James’ Park today.

In what is expected to be Shola’s last derby, the Mackem Slayer will be hoping to bow out in ‘style’.

two  ameobisThe starting eleven chosen by Alan Pardew is;

Krul, Debuchy, Williamson, Taylor, Santon, Tiote, Anita, Sissoko, Ben Arfa, Sammy Ameobi, Shola

While on the bench we have;

Elliot, Mapou, Dummett, Haidara, Marveaux, De Jong, Armstrong

You may have heard we didn’t buy anybody in the transfer window and so with Remy suspended, Cabaye & Jonas moving, plus Gouffran, Colo and Cisse injured – options were limited.

At least we don’t have the fear of Obertan getting on the pitch which is one positive.

In case of emergencies we do have a wildcard in on loan Luuk De Jong, let us hope we don’t have to break the glass!

As with all derbies, on the day….

I feel we need Ben Arfa on a real going day and the rest could take care of itself.

What we do demand is maximum effort and focus, let’s go and get those three points.
