Reported That Lee Clark and Terry McDermott Have Parted Company
Reports coming out of Birmingham claim that Lee Clark and Terry McDermott have parted company.
It is reported that Terry Mac and ex-Newcastle coach Derek Fazackerley have both left Birmingham City.
Birmingham aren’t having the greatest of seasons but do look relatively safe as they are nine points above the relegation zone.
Derek Fazackerley of course came to prominence as a key figure in the Keegan revolution at Newcastle United, with Lee Clark of course a mainstay of the team that almost won the title in 1996.
Terry Mac achieved an amusing reputation due to his ability to keep a job at St.James’ Park despite the many managerial changes. With such a protective shield seemingly around him, the joke became that if ever there was a nuclear holocaust you’d be best off standing next to Terry!
If these early reports are confirmed then sad to see the break up of the ex-Newcastle team and we wish them all well with their careers, all four people mentioned having given great service to Newcastle United.
