Pardew Video Interview ‘I Think We Just Edged It Early On’
In this Alan Pardew interview after Sunderland game, the Newcastle manager was desperately looking for some positives and came up with a corker.
The United boss somehow claiming that Newcastle were the better team overall and hinting that the penalty incident was the game changer.
“Then we made a mistake on the goal and as I say, after that everything was forced and rushed.”
I missed the first 30 seconds so maybe we had a cracking kick-off and kept the ball for three or four passes before Krul, Taylor or Williamson hoofed it up the pitch towards a motionless Shola – for the first of some nine hundred times or so.
What I saw was that from the start we were awful and the formation was never going to work, though there again we had so many average players on the pitch you could have had top tacticians working on the formation for months and it wouldn’t have made a difference.
No doubt Pardew will be accentuating the ‘positives’ on Monday…
