Pardew Newcastle v Chelsea Injury Update – Oh Dear…

The Alan Pardew Newcastle v Chelsea injury update at today’s press conference has brought further bad news for United fans.

This morning it was revealed that Cheick Tiote was likely to miss Saturday’s match because of a knock picked up in training.

Then this afternoon Pardew has revealed that Yoan Gouffran is ‘unlikely’ to be available at Stanford Bridge either.

In addition, while it was being reported Fabricio Coloccini was struggling for Chelsea, it was claimed his return was imminent and led to believe Spurs next Wednesday was a likely return date. Instead the Newcastle manager has stated that his captain will be out for up to another three weeks, meaning even Hull on March 1st could be touch and go.

While I’m sure all injuries are totally above board, when Cabaye left and then the mackem fiasco at the weekend, one of my mates said to me ‘just watch for other players picking up mystery knocks in training’….how cynical.
