Newcastle v Aston Villa Starting 11 – As Chosen By The Fans

We asked fans to choose their Newcastle v Aston Villa starting 11 and it has given both us and Alan Pardew plenty to think about.

Not the biggest surprise to see three players who have recently been out, dominating the voting.

Remy And Tiote were joint top with 99% of fans voting for both to play today, while Fabricio Coloccini wasn’t far behind with 92%.

A massive boost for everybody if all three make it today.

Elsewhere in the team it gets really interesting, Williamson (80%) is easily the choice to partner Colo with Mapou (27%) nowhere near and Steven Taylor (7%) a shocking low rating, showing how far he’s dropped in many fans’ estimation.

Very interesting to see who would be the selection to go up front with Remy and De Jong (70%) is clearly seen as worth a chance to see how they work together, Ben Arfa (44%) at least seen as a serious contender despite reports of a serious falling out with Alan Pardew after Spurs, Cisse (11%) though is seen as nowhere near the team, while as for Shola (2%)….

One player whose form has suffered recently and was hauled off during the Spurs fiasco is Davide Santon (35%), Massadio Haidara (46%) is the choice but less than half the fans selecting him suggests it is the most difficult position to assess, Paul Dummett (22%) the next option.

Here are all the results below, the first eleven rated and then the rest.
