There has now been a Loic Remy promise/pledge but it isn’t exactly the one Newcastle fans want to hear.

After his daft sending off and the three match suspension now ended, Remy has promised to do everything he can do to help the team now he can return….if selected.

However, as he has done all along, Loic Remy has still not made a single positive statement even hinting that he has any interest in staying at Newcastle permanently.

Now experience tells us not to believe everything players say but having been asked about the subject a number of times, Remy’s refusal to give any positive indications at all on signing permanently for United, surely tells us everything.

loic remy promiseAs for the remainder of they season, this is what Remy had to say to the Shields Gazette;

“I just know that I have to score, that’s my job.

“It is not pressure it is just normal, I’m a striker and it is my job to score goals.

“We’ve conceded ten goals in the last three games and at the same time we haven’t scored any.

“I know that I have a big responsibility and the fans are expecting a lot from me.

“It is difficult when you can’t play, especially when the team’s not playing very well, now I’ll come back and try to help the team as much as I can.”
