Leaving NUFC Who Don’t Try To Win Cups – Cabaye Now In Cup Final After 22 Minutes At PSG

The Newcastle United Cup policy is as we know a shambles, the directors admitting that the cups aren’t a priority and there is no intention of trying to win one.

The fact that Newcastle United haven’t got beyond the 4th round of either domestic cup in Mike Ashley’s reign, a damning indictment on his running of the club and lack of ambition.

Well if you were still wondering why on earth Yohan Cabaye might have been able to drag himself away from cup-averse NUFC, you had your answer on Tuesday night.

With 71 minutes on the clock Nantes were trailing PSG 1-0 in the semi final of the French League Cup, on came Yohan Cabaye for the closing stages to make his cup debut for PSG.

Nantes equalised but Ibrahimovic got a dramatic late winner which was his second of the night and won the semi 2-1.

So after 22 minutes of cup action for his new club, Yohan Cabaye is in a final.

Irony, irony, irony – you just couldn’t make it up.
