With the departure of Yohan Cabaye to cash rich PSG, it was perhaps inevitable that the French press would then turn the spotlight on a Mathieu Debuchy PSG transfer over to Paris.
Leading French media organisation Le10 Sport have highlighted the right-back spot at PSG as a potential weak link and no surprise who they see as one of the leading contenders for a summer move…

Should PSG be recruiting a right back next summer? First choice Gregory Van der Wiel – is he good enough?
Recruited for 6M euros at the end of the transfer window in summer 2012 Gregory Van der Wiel has had a difficult start with the PSG .
However, since the arrival of Laurent Blanc, the Dutch international, 26, is the first choice for that position. However, PSG want to build a competitive team with the best players in the world for each position. Should PSG strengthen this summer in this area? If so, who should PSG recruit ?
MATHIEU DEBUCHY: 7/10
He is currently the best French right-back. Also, the PSG is not hiding its desire to recruit more French players now. Debuchy , 28, may be the most obvious solution. The Newcastle player is not very expensive (about € 10M) and offers solid guarantees. He could easily match Gregory Van der Wiel’s ability. The opportunity for the PSG to recruit a French quality player at a very low cost .
DANI ALVES: 8/10
Considered for several seasons as the best right back in the world, Dani Alves has not been so dominant in recent months. But the Brazilian, 30, sets the standard. The player from FC Barcelona excels offensively. Rumours in Spain in January said that PSG may be willing to buy him next summer. The PSG has the means to pay.
BACARY SAGNA: 3/10
French International and his contract to Arsenal ends in June. He is not in any way a priority for PSG. The PSG has the possibility to aim higher.
PABLO ZABALETA: 5/10
Under contract until June 2017 to Manchester City , Pablo Zabaleta is also in the PSG’s sight but the whole thing would get complicated.
GREGORY VAN DER WIEL: 6/10
Dutch International first choice 15 times this season in Ligue 1 by Laurent Blanc . He is more consistent and has eclipsed Christophe Jallet . Van der Wiel is no longer the weak link in the team and he can hold his spot but if the PSG still wants to move forward, Paris must aim higher than him.
