Coloccini Misses Hull Game

It has just been announced that Fabricio Coloccini misses Hull tomorrow.

The Newcastle United captain returned against Aston Villa and despite being only half-fit, was arguably United’s man of the match.

However, Colo hasn’t aggravated his injury, rather he is back in Argentina spending time with his loved ones, following a family bereavement.

While it is clearly sad for our captain to lose somebody close, in terms of his day job the Newcastle defender will be sorely missed by Alan Pardew and his team.

It will be interesting to see what the United boss does, as Steven Taylor was dropped to accommodate the return of Coloccini but will Taylor slot straight back in?

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has dropped down to a distant fourth choice over the course of the season and with United safe from any threat of relegation, will Pardew think it worthwhile to get Mapou back into the team and see if he can regain some form.
