Coloccini Gives Over 51,999 Reasons Why Giving Up Is Not An Option
Newcastle captain Fabricio Coloccini has given 52,000 reasons why any player not giving their all for United, is not an option.
Responding to criticism from some fans of a lack of motivation for players in some matches, especially the recent home match with Spurs and the two derby games, Coloccini has claimed the Villa performance proved that the players always give their best.
This followed Alan Pardew stating that he thought the effort of players on Sunday was ’10 out of 10′ but only ‘6 out of 10’ for technical ability.
This is what the Newcastle Captain has had to say on the subject;
“In the dressing room we all know about Newcastle’s history and know we play for one of the biggest clubs in the country – that’s what we are fighting for when we are on the pitch.
“Our biggest motivation is knowing we are representing Newcastle and those Newcastle fans, when you have 52,000 fans coming to support you, you know you have to go out and give it your all.
“We know there have been bad times and it has not been easy for the fans or the whole of the city. Some bad results has made the mood a little bit sad and so we knew the match against Aston Villa was a massive one, the three points so important for us.
“That match will give a lot more confidence and improve everybody’s mood, it should also prove to fans that we always give our best.”
