As we have reported in the past, it is a disgrace that the club make you pay a £30 Newcastle United membership fee before you can buy a single away ticket.
If you are a season ticket holder then the £30 Newcastle United membership fee is automatically added to your season ticket price and you have no choice but to be a member.
What it means in effect is that you have a crazy situation where an exiled Newcastle fan living in Swansea, Cardiff, Norwich etc and who can only maybe get to the one match a season, has to pay an extra £31 (you also have to pay NUFC an extra £1 surcharge for the privilege of them selling you any away ticket) on top of the ticket price.
This short-sighted policy meaning it further alienates and reduces your fanbase as especially those in exile find it harder to keep up a connection with the club, with the particular problem also of engaging their children in following the true faith as well.
However, there is one exception to the above, because as well as the official away end, at Fulham’s Craven Cottage they also have a ‘mixed area’ next to the away section and anybody can buy these tickets.
You have to get in quick though because they are usually snapped up quickly by our exiles in the south.
The match is on Saturday 15 March and you can buy tickets in this mixed area by clicking HERE
