Alan Pardew Rates His Team ’10 Out Of 10′

8 years ago

At the end of the match the Newcastle manager had his scorecards out and rated his team ’10 out of 10 for effort, 6 out of 10 for technical ability’.

A display that was ragged at times and with frustration showing on the pitch and in the stands, at least the players kept it going to the final whistle.

As for the missing technical ability, with Yohan Cabaye sold and Hatem Ben Arfa well out of favour and form, it is maybe little wonder that the team are struggling on this front.

Alan Pardew speaking to the club’s official TV channel;

“I think it was 10 out of 10 for effort, 6 out of 10 for technical ability.

“We’ve been a lot better but after Spurs I had to make sure I got an honest performance which is what we got.

“We had some moments though and Loic provided most of them, and at the end that goal was so important for this club.

“Important for the fans, important for us, our staff, to just get some momentum back because we lost it.”
