Alan Pardew Names His Manager Of The Year – So Far

Asked about Saturday’s performance, Alan Pardew said he rated our old mate Mrs Doubtfire as his number one choice for Manager Of The Year, so far.

Along with Palace, Hull were hot favourites to go down and yet Steve Bruce has his team currently in eleventh on thirty points, six clear of the relegation zone.

Of course Hull have already beaten United despite falling behind twice at St.James’ Park, here’s Alan Pardew with his ‘LMA hat on’;

“With my LMA (League Managers Association) hat on, I would like to say Steve Bruce is probably Manager Of The Year up to this point. He has another ten games to see him over that line.

“What he did last year with ten games to go, to get them promoted, and to get them in the position they’ve been in (this Season), is a fantastic achievement.

“What he and his staff have done, they can be very proud of.

“I think they have only been beaten four times there and only conceded ten goals.

“So it is a big ask for us this weekend.”
