Alan Pardew Insults Newcastle Fans With Talk Of Trophies

The latest Alan Pardew Newcastle fans insult has come about when the manager was asked about the landmark of his 150th match in the St.James’ Park hotseat.

The manager was surely insulting the intelligence of the fans as he patronised us about the desire to win trophies, this is what Pardew had to say on Monday;

“The passion from the fans can’t help but inspire you and I’ve enjoyed ninety per cent of my time here, but I’ve lost some emotional games, Sunderland games and the cup games.

“They are tough to take as the manager of this team when you are desperate to win a trophy.

“My overall feeling is one of pride in that we have done a good job, we’ve produced some fantastic football and had some unbelievable results.

“Before I reach that next landmark of two hundred games, I hope we will win a trophy of some description that our fans are desperate for, and in my opinion, thoroughly deserve.”

I honestly don’t know how Alan Pardew has the nerve to sit there and talk about trying to win trophies and the fans thoroughly deserving silverware, while he has done absolutely nothing to try and win one in his time here.

This season was an absolute embarrassment with the club directors admitting the cups (only chance of winning trophies) are not a priority, whilst Alan Pardew ensured (whether under orders or not we’ll never know) that Newcastle got knocked out of both domestic cups.

Against Manchester City in the League Cup, Pardew left out our two biggest threats, Cabaye and Remy.

Then even when league safety was guaranteed by the start of January, the manager still left out both Cabaye and Remy, the striker on the bench and Cabaye allowed to go back to France rather than try and help Newcastle win one of those trophy things the manager keeps talking about.

Embarrassing defeats at places such as Stevenage and the absolutely disgraceful starting eleven Pardew put out at Brighton last season, are yet further proof that the manager says one thing but does another.

Every year we hear the same claptrap before the cup matches as Pardew talks of putting out a strong team, taking the cups seriously blah blah blah.

As the saying goes, you may be able to fool some of the people some of the time but you certainly can’t fool all of the people all of the time. The game is up and I hate to think of how few fans will turn up if we get any home cup matches next season, such is the overwhelming belief amongst fans that we are being taken for mugs.
