Speaking head of Sunday’s match, you are likely to find Alan Pardew’s words either inspiring, or otherwise you might just spot the latest excuse…if Newcastle lose to Villa.

Alan Pardew has recently said that he’s not going to use injuries as an excuse any more because the fans are sick of hearing it.

However, the Newcastle manager has brought up something else that may be blamed for any defeat – ‘fate and destiny’, you have been warned.

This what Alan Pardew had to say on Friday;

“It’s big news when we play football her in this city and so it should be.

“It is what our city breathes for and works so hard for, to watch their team on a Saturday, or a Sunday in this particular week. To give a performance that the fans can be proud of, and we didn’t do that, certainly in the last two or three home games. We need to do that.

“We can do everything right and lose this game. We can prepare and get everything in place, but in football, sometimes fate and destiny takes its own course and it can be out of your hands.”
