7 Up Newcastle United Kids Bring Some Relief

Saturday saw a predictable first team defeat at Stamford Bridge but better news on home turf as it was a case of 7 Up Newcastle United, with the Newcastle Under 18s making it seven wins in a row in all competitions.

The United kids overcame their rivals from Bolton 2-1 at Little Benton.

The win came courtesy of goals from Joe Kerridge and Callum Roberts.

This latest victory keeps things bubbling nicely and next Sunday (16th Feb) they travel to Derby with the prize of a place in the FA Youth Cup quarter finals at stake.

Over the weekend the draws were made for the route all the way to the Youth Cup final, with United facing Chelsea or Cardiff at home if they beat Derby.

Then…in the semi finals the NUFC kids would face Arsenal, Everton, Charlton or Sheffield United for a place in the final.

As we always say, it would be great to see the next generation of United players emulate Bobby Moncur and Paul Gascoigne in lifting the FA Youth cup.
