Well they can’t say they weren’t warned, Newcastle fans were more than happy to give their Hammers’ counterparts the benefit of our experience when it came to Sam Allardyce.

If you hear Allardyce speak now it is like being transported back just over 6 years ago with the same old excuses and lack of accountability. It is never his fault.

sam allardyceNewcastle fans were less than enthusiastic when Sam Allardyce was appointed but we collectively bit our lips and got behind the manager and team, as you do. Especially when billionaire Mike Ashley shortly afterwards bought the club and gave Allardyce significant money to spend/waste.

Early results were decent but the football…functional. A charmed fixture list meant Newcastle played nobody of real quality until some months in and by then it was shocking, without ok results to paper over the massive cracks it as becoming unbearable.

Of course then and subsequently Newcastle fans were continually lectured about how if only we’d stuck with Sam Allardyce and given him a chance etc etc.

Well West Ham fans, he got you promoted and kept you up last season but…I think you can see where we were coming from.

Terrible football, no accountability, always somebody else’s fault…excuse central.

The only question is – what will he call his villa this time that he buys with his pay-off?
