Pardew Injury News On Cabaye and Krul
In advance of the visit of Cardiff, the Alan Pardew injury news has revealed that both Tim Krul and Yohan Cabaye have picked up injuries.
The Newcastle manager revealed his concerns about Krul, plus revealed that Cabaye got injured during the match at the Hawthorns but having used all three subs he couldn’t replace him.
“I am a little concerned about my goalkeeper who is doubtful.”
Hopefully these two will prove to be just ‘FA Cup’ injuries and it is more of a case of looking after them and preventing real damage that would potentially keep them out of the Manchester City match.
Already faced with losing Coloccini for an estimated six weeks and Debuchy for three matches, the loss of Cabaye and/or Krul for any length of time would be very painful and potentially equate to Alan Pardew missing arguably his four best players.
I’m not saying it has proved a factor in Cabaye’s injury but I did find it strange in the Stoke match that once the match was over as a contest, it was Santon and Gouffran who came off, whereas I’d have been wrapping Cabaye and Remy up in cotton wool such is their importance to the team.
