Papiss Cisse Buy-Out Clause Reported
The future of Papiss Cisse increasingly looks as though it will be away from St.James’ Park, rarely used by Alan Pardew it seems only a question of when, not if, the Senegal striker leaves.
Now there are claims that Cisse has a buy-out clause in his contract.
In recent days there have been various reports of interest from Turkish clubs with Trabzonspor supposedly offering £4m, while Besiktas’ Director of Football has admitted their interest in the Newcastle striker.
It has been claimed that Newcastle are looking to get £10m for the player and while Papiss Cisse’s recent form leaves a lot to be desired, in today’s increasingly mad transfer market, a fee of £6m could prove a bargain if he reverts back to the form he showed for Freiburg and when he was in favour at Newcastle. The claimed buy-out figure apparently becoming active at the end of the season.
For there to be any chance of Cisse going this month whether on loan or permanently, it would appear to be inextricably linked with somebody coming in, or at least you would hope so.
