Still on a high after crushing Sunderland in the FA Youth Cup, the Newcastle Under 18s followed up with another superb result and performance at the Man Utd training ground earlier today.
A storm hit training ground was the backdrop to a great display by the visiting black and whites with Rolando Aarons today’s hero as he opened the scoring in the 36th minute, then following a Man U equaliser in the 54th minute, Aarons was back to lay on the winner with a pull back that Adam Armstrong put away.
Armstrong following up his goal against Sunderland in that Youth Cup win but no goals today for Monday’s hat-trick hero Jonathyn Quinn.
With turbulent weather ranging from sunshine to hail, the referee on an adjacent pitch even took the players off as a precaution due to the presence of lightning.
